Guest Card: 2 of Pentacles

Lovely friends, today's guest is the Busy Man from the 2 of Pentacles! Let's welcome him to the show!

Busy Man: Hello, Amanda! It's great to be here! So glad I was able to make it!

Amanda: Indeed! You are quite the busy fellow, aren't you?

Busy Man: I suppose you don't call me Busy Man for nothing...but yes, there is truth to the name. There isn't a day when I don't have at least two or three or four things going on at the same time. It's craaazy!

Amanda: Perhaps I should have called you High Energy Man! What in the world keeps you so occupied?

Busy Man: Oh, it changes from day to day, week to week. For instance, right now I'm working on a cool new project my coworkers and I came up with. It's really awesome, I could spend all my time doing it, but I've got other things going on, so, ya know...

Amanda: Such as?

Busy Man: Well, I just started training for a triathlon that will take place in the spring. I ran the Athens Marathon (holla'!) in November and next up is the triathlon. So, running and swimming and cycling...I'm training a lot.

Amanda: Whoa! Between triathlon training and work, how do you have time to do anything else?

Busy Man: Well, I manage. Ya know, I can't train every day or even work everyday, so I hang out with friends and socialize then. I think I need to make something clear though...

Amanda: Yes?

Busy Man: I enjoy my life. Yeah, it's busy, but I'm having fun! I wouldn't trade this life for anything! I'm in the zone, you know? I like it.

Amanda: I do not doubt it. Just sitting next to you and feeling your energy, your like a lightbulb you're burning so brightly! And I totally know what you mean. There are times when, you know, I'm working on the Talkshow and then doing my Tarot readings, sometimes it's hard to know where to focus, where to apply my energy, but I love that this is my life. I also wouldn't trade it for anything.

Busy Man: Amen!

Amanda: However, it's not all roses all the time, right? I know for me there are definitely times when I "lose it" a bit? When the juggling gets to be too much?

Busy Man: Sure, I grant you that. If you see me in a reading and I'm upside down, you're seeing this side of me. I won't lie - you'd best be moving on, because I can be an A-1 jerk when this happens.

Amanda: Oh, I believe you!

Busy Man: I get agitated, annoyed. I'm a little short with people. My usual happy-go-lucky nature goes out the window...and well, I'm a real "wanka" then. I'll tell you a secret...(now whispering) sometimes I'll have to go out back and share a smoke with the Queen of Swords...have you interviewed her yet?

Amanda: No, not yet.

Busy Man: Well, yeah, she and I hang sometimes when I'm like this. She knows how it is. That's a great lady...

Amanda: Indeed. We'll have her on soon.

Busy Man: So, anyhow, it's not pretty when I'm reversed typically. I mean, don't get me wrong. Sometimes it can feel fine, being reversed. I don't think I always know when I'm reversed until I break.

Amanda: Yeah, I hear you. Maintaining that perfect balance between your responsibilities and your inner and your outer happiness, it can be very tricky.

Busy Man: Understatement of the century there, Amanda...

Amanda: Haha, I guess. We do the best we can though, don't we?

Busy Man: We do. Right now, though, I'm totally doing it. I'm loving it.

Amanda: Me too! With that, I want to thank you Busy Man for joining us today! Good luck with all of your endeavors, friend!

Busy Man: Thanks, Amanda!! This was fun!

Cheers!
